He was born and grew up in Illinois, which is to the east of us less than eight hours driving. He then lived in Kansas City, Missouri which is less than three hours driving to the southeast of us. Both are good cities. Chicago is known for its architecture and river through the city. Kansas City is known for barbeque and water fountains.
